About me!
Hi! I'm Morgan and I'm an "artist-in-training"
My name is Morgan Wegner, I was born in Green Bay Wisconsin and moved to Florida when I was in second grade, so I've lived in Florida for most of my life. I'm currently attending Florida State University pursuing an art major in the honors program, I intend to follow the 5 year art education program and then return again fora P.H.D. in art therapy. I want to pursue art education and art therapy because of the influence of my art teachers in my life.
When I first fell in love with art I was in third grade at Sable Point Elementary school in Mr.Catogni's class. I was horrible at it, as all beginners are horrible with anything they start, but I was determined to get better. From there, I was handed down from art teacher to art teacher, all of them better than the last. Then, in my sophomore year, I had the teacher that has had the most positive influence on my life. His name is Dr. Phi Yoba. He is the teacher that made me believe that I could pursue art as a career and be successful and happy. He pushed me out of my comfort zone and made me explore new thoughts, ideas, media, and techniques to express myself. He provided me with all the resources, opportunities, and support needed for me to become who I am today. I am eternally grateful for all of the support and help he has given me.
I want to become an art educator/art therapist so that I can help people with art the way that art helped me through my issues. I want to be inspiring, helpful, and supportive for anyone who wants it or needs it. Maybe by helping one kid at a time, we can shape the future generations to have a more healthy society and make the world a better place for everyone.

Through this course, I have learned about different theories of writing and developed my own (as shown in the gif). My theory of writing is as follows: first there is an idea, then to be able to expand upon that idea you need to consider audience, purpose, context, and the discourse community it is in. Just having the idea will not make for an effective composition. After you have considered and "captured" those concepts, you can apply it to your writing to get a successful result.
